Vessel Information Request (VIR) Form

If you received a VIR form, the Assessor’s Office is requesting that you complete and return the form to assist us in the valuation of your vessel. If the form is not timely returned, we will estimate the value based on any information in our possession. You received a form because it was recently discovered that your vessel is located in Ventura County.

Annual Filing Requirements

If the cost of your vessel is over $100,000, or if the Assessor requests of it, you are also required to file form BOE-576-D (Vessel Property Statement) annually, between January 1st and April 1st of each year.

Vessel Property Statements are mailed on or about January 15th.
